Venezia Giulia Riserva IGT Pinot Grigio 2006 Gravner
Description
The Pinot Grigio Riserva di Gravner was born in the magnificent Oslavia vineyards, located in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
It is produced exclusively with Pinot Grigio grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with a long maceration, in underground Georgian amphorae without temperature control. After racking, the pressed wine rests for 5 months in an amphora before starting a long aging in large oak barrels, lasting 6 years.
The Pinot Grigio Riserva by Gravner is characterized by a vibrant orange color. The nose opens with fragrant aromas of toasted walnuts, pollen and orange blossom honey, accompanied by light floral scents. On the palate it is velvety and muscular, with good acidity, with notes of moist soil, tangerine peel and pine sap.
This long-aging white wine is ideal to accompany salads and dishes based on vegetables and vegetables, typical of vegetarian cuisine.
