Description

Gravner 's Venezia Giulia Riserva Rujno was born in the magnificent vineyards of Oslavia, located in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Produced only in the best vintages, it is obtained from Merlot grapes with a small part of Cabernet Sauvignon collected and carefully selected by hand. Fermentation takes place in the presence of the marc for a few weeks in open oak vats without any temperature control. Subsequently the wine ages for 7 years in oak barrels and for a further 7 years in bottle, before being marketed.

Gravner 's Rujno Riserva has a concentrated and intense garnet red color. The nose opens with fruity hints of cherry and plum, enriched with elegant aromas of sweet spices, light tobacco, cocoa and coffee. On the palate it is soft and full-bodied, with well-smoothed tannins that accompany a harmonious and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany stewed meats and roasts, this wine is ideal in combination with ground first courses, risotto and salami.
