Description
Exclusively produced with Vernaccia grapes grown in the vineyards of Casa Lucii in San Gimignano, this white wine from Salcheto expresses the soul of a hilly region situated between 100 and 320 meters above sea level. The result of sustainable and certified agriculture, it is created within a network of producers united by the same philosophy of quality. The careful management of the vineyard and the manual harvesting of the grapes ensure a product faithful to the varietal and territorial identity of the Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
The winemaking process involves gentle pressing of the grapes followed by static cold settling, then proceeding with fermentation at controlled temperatures. The aging takes place in thermoconditioned cement and stainless steel vats, where the wine matures on fine lees to enrich it with structure and complexity. Before being marketed, it rests in the bottle for an additional period, maintaining its expressiveness intact.
On the nose, it opens with intense notes of peach and yellow flowers such as broom, followed by mineral hints and light honey sweetness. On the palate, it surprises with its structure and roundness, accompanied by lively freshness and pleasant sapidity that persist in the finish, giving elegance and balance to the tasting experience.
Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with fish or vegetable appetizers, delicate risottos, white meat dishes, fresh cheeses, and ethnic dishes with simple flavors.
