Description
Ventum by Can Axartell is a highly intense red wine, produced in the Terra Mallorca area from a blend of Syrah, Merlot, and Callet. It is characterized by its intense cherry color with violet reflections and a compact, clear, and brilliant texture, with dense, slow legs that anticipate its full-bodied structure.
The grapes are hand-harvested and processed by gravity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for thirteen days at a controlled temperature of 22°C, followed by nine months of aging in oak barrels, which imparts depth and aromatic complexity to the wine.
On the nose, it expresses clean aromas with high aromatic intensity, dominated by ripe red fruit, with smoky notes and hints of dark berries and spices. On the palate, it is a dry wine with a powerful yet gentle entry, a well-balanced acidity that adds freshness, enveloping and delicate tannins, a meaty and elegant structure. The sip is complex and intense, with a voluminous and persistent finish.
Perfect when paired with red meats, aged cheeses, cured meats, game, or rich slow-cooked dishes.
