Description
The Savagnin Le Châtaignier by Pierre Girardin is produced from massal selection vines of Savagnin cultivated on a south-west facing slope in the Jura, with marl-limestone soils and parcels managed with plant cover.
Fermentation occurs with whole bunches and indigenous yeasts, followed by one year of maturation in wooden barrels, complemented by an additional period of aging in steel, without clarification or filtration, to enhance purity and terroir.
It stands out for its mineral complexity and tension, with precise and structured aromatic expressions; on the palate, it offers body, depth, and a vibrant minerality, maintaining an elegant and persistent balance.
Perfect with soft cheeses or dishes based on porcini mushrooms.
