Description

Nobile di Montepulciano Pieve Caggiole is a red wine produced by Poliziano, made from 100% Sangiovese grapes sourced from the “Le Caggiole” vineyard, located at around 350 meters above sea level on marine tuffaceous soils with the presence of clay. It is born from experience and a deep knowledge of the region, expressing a style that combines structure, elegance, and finesse typical of this historic Tuscan denomination.

The harvest is carried out by hand with careful selection of the grapes, followed by fermentation and maceration in truncated conical stainless steel tanks for an extended period, thus allowing for an accurate extraction of color and noble components. The wine is then aged in French oak tonneaux, where it matures, acquiring complexity, balance, and the ability to evolve over time.

It displays an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers broad and refined aromas of ripe cherry, small red fruits, and light floral notes, enriched by spicy hues and delicate toasted hints. On the palate, it is structured yet harmonious, with well-integrated tannins, balanced freshness, and a long, elegant, and persistent finish.

It pairs perfectly with important dishes based on red meats, braised dishes, game, and aged cheeses, enhancing their complexity and aromatic depth.
