Description

The Volnay Taille Pieds by Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is a Premier Cru made with Pinot Noir grapes from the famous Volnay area.

Historic vineyard purchased by the family since 1775, this wine is obtained from vineyards grown on clayey-limestone soils with perfect east / south-east exposure. The harvest is carried out manually and after the grapes arrive in the cellar and the pressing, the must ferments in small containers for a maximum of 25 days before refining for a variable period between 12 and 14 months in wood with a percentage of 40% new wood.

Of medium intensity ruby red color, it offers a complex and broad nose with hints of red fruits, light notes of toasting and earth followed by spicy notes. In the mouth it is harmonious and complete, of beautiful intensity and with soft tannins that anticipate a long finish and excellent aging capacity.

Perfect to accompany quail, pigeon and game, it can also enhance white meats dressed with flavored sauces.
