Located within the natural amphitheater of one of the oldest areas of Chianti Classico, Castellare di Castellina was born in the 70s with the aim of producing wine of the highest quality thanks to a selection of the best Sangiovese clones and the use of barrique following the instructions of the well-known oenologist Emile Peynaud.
Among the winery's flagship products, the I Sodi di S. Niccolò (Tre Bicchieri) wine, a blend of Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera grapes, awarded on several occasions and surprisingly balanced thanks to aging in barrique for up to 30 months before giving notes of jam, tobacco and liquorice for a harmonious and pleasant taste. Alongside this are the Chianti Classico and its Riserva version, structured, intense wines, suitable for long aging and full of local history. The selection closes with the Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggiale , a wine made from a single vineyard and aged for up to 18 months, capable of combining freshness and flavor with the full-bodied touch of red fruits such as violet and cherry and before giving a long and fulfilling.
