The traditional grapes Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella from Verona area are the basic grape varieties for Monte Zovo to create the history and the identity of itsAmarone della Valpolicella (Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso). It comes from Tregnano estate with an altitude of 350-560 meters above sea level. Thanks to the appassimento technique, the grapes hold back a lot of sugar content and intense aromatic body preparing an alcoholic and structured wine, suitable for long aging. The aging period in barriques and tonneaux for 24 months and a further 12 months in the bottle offer a full and mature wine, with red fruits, spicy notes and soft tannins. Perfect for memorable meal based on braised meats, stewed meat and game, but also ideal in combination with a aged cheeses.
Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2016 Monte Zovo
An Amarone that is born in the vineyards of the Tregnago Estate, in the upper Val d'Illasi, Mezzane di Sopra and the Tregnago hills and from a fine blend of traditional Veronese grapes, Corvina between 55% and 65% Corvinone between 25% and 35% Rondinella between 5% and 15%.
