Allegrini
As a leading company in the Valpolicella Classica, Allegrini has been producing high-quality wine for over 400 years and is considered a major player in the development of this wine region. Following the diligent work conducted by Giovanni, the Allegrini family embraced his industrious spirit and passion to pursue a path of enhancing the viticultural and oenological heritage that this land had to offer. While remaining anchored to a strict tradition, the company has always been a forward-thinking and watchful entity on the evolution of times and taste, managing with Franco Allegrini, today regarded as one of the greatest Italian winemakers, to introduce significant innovations in the production of Valpolicella's key wines, Recioto and Amarone: a method of drying grapes more attentive to preserving the integrity of the berries has been adopted, the Ripasso technique has been revised to complement traditional pomace with a portion of semi-dried grapes that ferment and enrich the product with aromatic complexity and elegance, the use of barrique has been introduced alongside the traditional Slavonian oak barrels, and the aging period has been reduced to preserve the fruity flavor and aroma.
In recent years, a new younger and fresher line, Corte Giara, has been created with wines produced near Lake Garda and in other areas of Verona, more suitable for convivial moments.
