Prosecco is an excellent sparkling wine to be enjoyed at the time of the aperitif or to be combined with appetizers or dishes with a simple and delicate taste. However, it can also be used as a cocktail base. Its freshness, its fruity, floral and slightly savory taste are perfect for creating summer drinks, especially fruit-based.
Hugo cocktail
It is a very fresh and refreshing summer cocktail, excellent to drink as an aperitif
Ingredients:
15 cl Prosecco
2 cl Melissa (or Elderberry) Syrup
1 Spray of Soda
Fresh mint leaves
A slice of lime
Preparation
Fill a glass of Prosecco cocktail , add a few fresh mint leaves, a slice of lime, a drop of lemon balm syrup and a splash of soda.
Bellini cocktail
Traditionally born to be made with a Classic Method Sparkling Wine, today it has also spread in the version with Prosecco base. The famous cocktail was born in Venice in 1948, on the occasion of an exhibition dedicated to the painter Bellini, thanks to the imagination of Giuseppe Cipriani, barman of the Harry's Bar. It is a very simple drink based on sparkling wine and white peach nectar.
Ingredients:
5 cl of white peach nectar
10 cl of Prosecco
Preparation
Peel the white peaches, cut them into wedges and crush them in a colander to extract the juice. Pour the nectar of the peaches into a cocktail glass and fill with Prosecco.
Rossini cocktail
It is a variant of the most famous Bellini Cocktail made with strawberries and sparkling wine.
Ingredients:
10 cl of Prosecco
5 cl of strawberry puree
Preparation
Take ripe strawberries and squeeze them with your hands in a colander. Then crush them with a spoon to extract all the juice. Cool a cocktail glass, then add ice and pour the filtered strawberry puree. Fill with Prosecco and garnish with a strawberry.
