Ribolla Gialla
Ribolla Gialla , a white grape variety, is a jewel traditionally cultivated in Friuli Venezia Giulia , especially in the border area, from Rosazzo to San Floriano del Collio to Oslavia. Its origins could be Dalmatian, since this vine is present under the name of Rebula along the coasts of Lower Dalmatia and in the Ionian Islands, in particular in Kefalonia. It arrived in Friuli via the Venetian ports, finding in this land sunny hilly exposures and dry, draining soils, which favor its best expression.
Ribolla Gialla gives a wine with a delicate bouquet , with fresh floral and citrus notes . On the palate, it is light, with a pleasant citrine acidity which makes it perfect to be enjoyed during an aperitif, accompanied by light appetizers or delicate fish dishes.
