The Bertani family boasts a tradition in the oenological field that dates back to the mid-nineteenth century. With the Tenuta Santa Maria the family becomes the interpreter of a rapid growth in quality: this leads in 1936 to the definition of the term 'Amarone', a dry version of Recioto produced in the estate. Both the use of cutting-edge technologies and the experience preserved in an authentic family tradition contribute to the production of representative and internationally known wines.

An evident example of this is the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva (97 pt Decanter), the result of a long process that gives a warm, harmonious wine, with fruits and flowers and a valuable spicy note. Always based on Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone, the Valpolicella Ripasso (98 pt LM) stands out with greater colour, softness and body. Also interesting is the introduction of Syrah and Merlot with the Pràgal (98 pt LM) a blend with an intense aroma based on cherry, cinnamon and tobacco dust resolved in very smooth and pleasant tannins. Also interesting is the Chardonnay Torre Pieve (92 pt JS) with a partial fermentation in wood that gives hints of exotic fruit, hazelnut and butter to a wine of great enjoyment and presence.
