Description

What kind of wine is it

Steinbock Zero Sparkling Blanc de Blancs is a dealcoholized sparkling wine, crafted from Riesling, the predominant variety, and Müller Thurgau. It has a fresh, dry and versatile character, designed for those who want to toast without alcohol while preserving the grapes’ aromas and expressiveness.

Where it comes from

The Steinbock Zero project was created by Martin Foradori Hofstätter, who seven years ago embarked on a pioneering path in the world of high-quality dealcoholized wines. Today it continues together with his son Niklas, with the new Blanc de Blancs carrying forward the same underlying idea: start with a quality wine to preserve the character of the grapes.

How it is made

A central role is entrusted to the quality of the base wine, which makes it possible to preserve the grapes’ expressiveness and aromatic character even after dealcoholization. The wine, made from Riesling and Müller Thurgau, is made sparkling after dealcoholization, yielding a light and aromatic result.

Tasting notes

In appearance it is a straw yellow with greenish highlights, with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it offers delicate notes of white-fleshed fruit, white flowers and subtle mineral nuances, with an aromatic touch typical of the varieties. The palate is lively, dry and brisk, with pronounced freshness and a good balance between acidity and salinity, making it smooth and refreshing.

Pairings

Ideal as an aperitif and with light, refined dishes: canapés, fish dishes and fresh cheeses. It also works well as a base for non-alcoholic cocktails.

When to serve it

It’s the choice for those who wish to toast without alcohol at convivial occasions, from aperitif time to light meals. Its freshness and fine perlage make it suitable for a sparkling wine glass, to be served well chilled.
