Alexander Red Ale Rodenbach Brewery
Description
The Alexander of the Rodenbach brewery
The Alexander is a Belgian-Flemish beer from the Rodenbach brewery, founded in 1821 by the homonymous family from Germany. The brewery is famous for the large number of wooden vats it owns, some 150 years old, in which many of its beers are aged.
How is Alexander made?
This beer was created in 1986 in honor of Alexander Rodenbach and is one of the most famous beers in the world. It is a blend of Flemish Red Ale aged in oak barrels for at least 2 years and macerated with the addition of sour cherries.
Sight, nose, eye and palate
Ruby red in color, Alexander is a Belgian-Flemish Red Ale with a decidedly fruity profile, with notes of cherry and a taste with elegant acidity and good softness.
What do you combine the Alexander with?
The ideal combination of this beer is with both red and game stewed meats.
