Description

The Gewürztraminer Clos Windsbuhl of the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht has roots in Alsace, within the Clos Windsbuhl vineyard parcel.

It consists of 100% Gewurztraminer grapes, coming from vineyards with an average age of around 45 years, planted on a limestone soil with a south-east facing position. At the end of a fermentation in unroasted oak barrels by the action of indigenous yeasts, it refines for a few months in the same containers.

The color is intense and bright in the shade of golden yellow. The perfume is divided into notes of candied citrus, tropical and dried fruit, finished with mineral and slightly spicy nuances. In the mouth it releases its aromatic identity and involves the palate with a sweet, soft and full-bodied sip.

To be combined with blue cheeses or with shortcrust pastry.
