Alsace AOC Gewürztraminer Sélection de Grains Nobles 2007 Willm
Description
Willm's Gewurztraminer selection de grains nobles originates from the Alsatian land in north-western France.
It comes from vineyards that are located within an altitude range between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. It is an area that is affected by the climatic influence of the neighboring Vosges, with predominantly granite, clayey and silty soils. The abundant presence of mineral elements has repercussions in a very particular flavor in the grapes. To make this sweet wine, the Gewurztraminer grapes are harvested from vines of at least 15 years, when the bunches have been attacked by the Muffa Nobile, the Botrytis Cinerea. A very strict selection of grapes for grapes allows you to bring only the best quality to the cellar.
It has a golden yellow color to the eye, with a beautiful brightness. The aromatic profile is articulated in fruity notes of lychee, passion fruit, mango and apricot, twinned with a floral texture of violet and rose. The mineral background that connotes the nose also emerges in the mouth, resulting in a great taste-olfactory correspondence. The body is full, soft and enveloping, marked by a finesse of the sip that derives from the perfect balance between its taste components.
Ideal to combine with blue cheeses or very mature cheeses.
