Description
Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru from Domaine Albert Mann is produced in Kientzheim, Alsace, on a prestigious granitic terroir. The vineyards, with an average age of about 35 years, are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and certified organic by Ecocert. This cru is one of the most emblematic expressions of the minerality and finesse that granitic soil can offer to Riesling.
The wine is obtained from spontaneous fermentation and careful aging, maintaining the intact varietal characteristics and the identity of the place of origin. The high natural acidity typical of Alsatian Rieslings, combined with the salinity of the soil, gives the wine tension, elegance, and exceptional aging potential. The vinification aims to enhance freshness, purity, and aromatic complexity.
It presents a brilliant golden yellow color with green highlights. On the nose, mineral notes stand out, accompanied by aromas of apple, lemon, peach, lime, mango, ginger, lemongrass, and anise. On the palate, it shows a sharp acidity, typical of the granitic terroir, combined with saline minerality and subtle fruity sweetness, with great structure and overall harmony.
Perfect with lemon and coriander carrot puree, ricotta flans, grilled lobster with peach and fennel salad, or chicken in grape and white wine sauce with wild rice.
