Description

The Alta Langa Brut by Gancia is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine made from Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grapes grown in the Alta Langa, a hilly area spread across the provinces of Alessandria, Asti, and Cuneo. The vinification takes place in the historic Gancia Cellars, a UNESCO heritage site, where only the free-run juice is used to ensure the highest quality of the finished product.

The grapes undergo gentle pressing with the traditional Marmonnier press. After a first fermentation in barrique and steel, the preparation of the cuvée and bottling for secondary fermentation follows. The wine ages on the lees for at least 30 months in temperature-controlled environments, meticulously following the Metodo Classico.

In appearance, it is a bright straw yellow with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it expresses intense notes of vanilla and bread crust, while on the palate it stands out for its balanced structure, good minerality, and a long, fragrant finish.

Ideal to pair with fish appetizers or shellfish, it also perfectly accompanies delicate dishes of Italian cuisine.
