Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Riserva Puntay Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 Erste Neue

The Alto Adige Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva of the Puntay di Erste + Neue line is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Caldaro, in the province of Bolzano.

It is produced entirely with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand in early October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in barriques and for another 6 months in bottle before being marketed.

Cabernet Sauvignon Puntay from Erste + Neue has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with strong hints of spices, enriched with fruity notes of cherry and morello cherry softened after aging in wood. On the palate it is well structured and round, with great persistence.

Perfect to combine with dishes based on game and lamb, it is ideal to accompany aged cheeses.
