Description

Amarone Classico della Valpolicella Riserva Sergio Zenato is a prestigious red wine made exclusively from selected grapes sourced from the oldest vineyards in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, at the heart of the classic area. Zenato produces this reserve only in exceptional years, giving it a distinctive character and significant aging potential.

Made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, and Croatina, the wine is born from a manual harvest followed by a long natural drying of the grapes in well-ventilated drying rooms for about four months. Vinification takes place in January, with a slow maceration on the skins for 15-20 days and a subsequent aging of at least four years in large oak barrels, followed by an additional year's refinement in the bottle.

In appearance, it showcases an intense ruby red color that evolves towards garnet shades with aging. The bouquet is intense and complex, with aromas of cherry, black cherry, wild berries, and spicy notes. On the palate, it is warm, full-bodied, structured, and harmonious, with great depth and lasting taste.

It pairs excellently with roasted game, grilled red meats, and mature cheeses.
