Description
The Casa Vinicola Bennati is located in Cazzano di Tramigna, north of San Bonifacio. It is a historic winery in the area, which was founded in 1920 and after a century continues to cultivate vineyards and produce great wines in Valpolicella. Amarone is the winery's most important wine and is produced with the best grapes from the estate's finest plots.
It comes from an assembly of native red grape varieties historically cultivated in Veneto: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The best bunches are left to dry until the month of December-January. After destemming, the grapes are fermented with maceration on the skins. Before bottling, the wine ages for a long time in oak barrels.
In the glass it has a dark red color and expresses aromas of ripe red fruit, cherry, wild fruit jam, black cherry in alcohol and soft spices. Of remarkable structure, it has silky tannins, complex and deep aromas, which anticipate a long and very persistent finish.
To be combined with braised meat, stewed game.
