Description

Bruno Giacosa's Barbaresco Riserva Asili is one of the most prestigious labels in the Barbaresco area, produced by a historic name in the Langhe wine world. Bruno Giacosa has always represented the deep bond with tradition and boundless love for his land. The grapes come from the renowned cru Asili, located south of the village of Barbaresco, right in the heart of the appellation.

The vineyard is cultivated at an altitude of 250 meters, facing south-west, on soils of calcareous-clayey marl with the presence of sands. At the end of the fermentation in stainless steel vats, with maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks, the wine matures in large oak barrels for about 2 years.

Refined and fine, it is ruby red with garnet reflections and opens on delicate aromas of violet and dog rose, aromas of red currant, raspberry, medicinal herbs and licorice root. The taste is elegant and graceful, with velvety tannins, a harmonious and pleasantly fresh finish.

To be combined with first courses based on meat sauces, noble poultry or roasts.
