Description

The Sorì Paitin Reserve is the most concentrated, eloquent and noble expression of the Barbaresco di Paitin. It originates from very old vineyards, coming from a particular mass selection made in 1953.

The Nebbiolo vines used to obtain this Barbaresco - only in the best vintages! - are located in a plot of 0.9 hectares inside the Cru Sorì Paitin, south of Neive. The soil is Franco-silty, with abundant presence of fossil Marne di Sant'Agata. It carries out maceration and fermentation in steel; it ages in a single Austrian oak barrel for 36 months.

Its garnet red color, very bright, introduces the nobility of its trait. The nose reveals notes of blackberry, jam of berries and morello cherry, as well as notes of violet and a complex background of leather, spices, undergrowth and licorice. In the mouth it fascinates with elegant tannins and lively freshness, inserted in a structured but always fine body. A very long persistence prolongs all the sensations of the sip.

Ideal with a salmì hare.
