Description
This Barbera d'Alba comes from the vineyards of the Piedmontese winery Cordero di Montezemolo, located in the province of Cuneo.
Made exclusively from carefully selected Barbera grapes harvested from different vineyards, the wine undergoes the classic processes of red winemaking, including malolactic fermentation in wood. The product is then placed in French and Slavonian oak barrels for about 8 months. It is marketed after a short aging in glass.
It presents a very concentrated color, with violet hues. On the nose, it offers fruity aromas of blackberry and plum, which pair well with spicy sensations of cocoa and other sweet spices. It is full-bodied on the palate and has good freshness, complemented by very smooth tannins.
Perfect with many dishes of traditional Piedmontese cuisine such as mixed boiled meats, warm cured meats with sauces, and thistle tart.
