Description

Barbera D'Alba Colbertina from Tenuta l'Illuminata was born in the vineyards located in the La Mora area, in Piedmont.

It is produced exclusively with Barbera grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 - 16 months in French oak barrels and for a further 6 months in bottle before being marketed.

This Barbera d'Alba is characterized by a good intensity ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with large and complex floral notes, giving hints of rose, chocolate and vanilla. On the palate it is full, harmonious and with a persistent and pleasant aftertaste.

Ideal to accompany light appetizers and delicate risottos, it is perfect in combination with stewed meat and vegetable recipes.
