Description
The Barbera d'Alba Superiore Il Bosco di Prinsi was born on the hills of Neive, in the Langhe. The farm has now existed for 3 generations, since the 1940s, when Ottavio Lequio began producing wine. The company mainly grows Nebbiolo grapes in vineyards located in the Barbaresco crus Gaia Principe, Gallina, Fausoni and Basarin.
The Barbera grapes are destemmed and pressed, to then be vinified with maceration in thermo-controlled steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wood. The wine ages 18 months in French oak barrels.
Intense purple red in colour, it expresses fruity aromas of blueberry, raspberry and cherries on the nose. The sip is harmonious and round, with good persistence.
Ideal in combination with hot land appetizers and elaborate dishes based on white and red meats.
