Description

Barbera Superiore Cima Riserva della Casa is produced by the Acconero winery in the Monferrato area, on the border between Piedmont and Lombardy.

It consists of 100% Barbera grapes, a variety typical of the local wine-growing tradition. Alcoholic fermentation starts spontaneously and takes place in steel containers. An aging of 24 months in tonneaux completes the process and makes the wine ready for bottling.

Its hue is ruby red, concentrated in an impenetrable tint. The complexity, on the nose, opens in a range of red fruit, blackberry, flowers, licorice and toasted notes reminiscent of coffee and bitter cocoa. In the mouth it is dominated by a freshness that is well present but of great finesse, twinned with an elegant tannin and integrated into the body.

To be combined with a venison stew.
