Description

What kind of wine is it

Barolo Brunate Vietti is a red wine from the Langhe in Piedmont, originating from the Brunate cru in the municipality of La Morra. Its style is elegant and mature, featuring a fine tannic texture and long persistence. Vinification involves fermentation in steel tanks and extended ageing in wood, between large oak casks and barriques.

Where does it come from

Produced in the Langhe, in the Barolo area, from Vietti estate vineyards located in different zones. For this label, the origin is Brunate in La Morra, with a vineyard about fifty years old, sun-exposed on the southern slope of the hill. The resulting profile combines ripe fruit and supporting tannins, with a structure suited for aging.

How is it made

Vinification takes place with fermentation in steel lasting about three weeks, designed to extract the typical structure and components of the area. After fermentation, the wine matures for about three years in wood, divided between large oak casks and barriques, aiming to integrate the tannins while preserving aromatic precision and continuity on the palate.

Tasting notes

It appears a deep ruby red to the eye. The nose detects fragrant aromas of wild berries, hints of blood orange, nuances of violet, and notes of soft spices. On the palate, it is elegant and mature, with a fine tannic texture embracing rich, persistent fruit, finishing with a long and orderly closure.

Food pairings

Pairs well with roasted red meats and small game stews, in harmony with its structure and fine tannic weave. The fruit component and spicy nuances accompany rich meat dishes, supporting the succulence and depth of flavor.

When to serve it

Recommended when you desire a structured red, suitable for important dishes and dedicated tasting moments. Ageing in wood between large oak casks and barriques, along with the fine tannic texture, also makes it suitable for cellaring for those seeking greater integration. At the table, it enhances earthy cuisine, highlighting elegance and persistence.
