Description

The name of Aldo Conterno is among the most famous of the Langhe, the true architect of the success of the wines of the territory and still today an essential point of reference for its classic and traditional style. The grapes come from the Cicala vineyard, located in the famous Bussia cru in the municipal area of Monforte d'Alba.

The vines, over 50 years old, have their roots in compact clayey limestone marls, which give the wines a perfect balance between structure and elegance. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with long maceration on the skins and the maturation takes place in large oak barrels for at least 30 months, followed by a period of refinement in the bottle. Perfect interpreter of Bussia, it is an intense Barolo, with a garnet color and pleasantly fruity aromas, with floral hints, notes of soft spices and licorice. Structured and complex, it gives a rich and satisfying, deep and persistent sip.

To combine with braised meats and game.
