Barolo Chinato DOCG Le Righe Fontanafredda
Description
Barolo Chinato Le Righe di Fontanafredda was born in the area where Barolo wine originated, west of Alba, a municipality located in the province of Cuneo.
It is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested manually between the first and second ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature of 30-31 ° C for 8-12 days. Subsequently the wine is flavored by adding an alcoholic infusion of herbs and spices, with a base of china calissaja, followed by 3 months of maceration and aging for 6 months in oak barrels in order to obtain the right harmonization.
The Barolo Chinato Le Righe di Fontanafredda has an intense red color. The nose opens with a complex and intense bouquet, in which hints of china calassaja dominate the scene, leaving room for aromas of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is pleasantly round and velvety, with a great sweet-bitter balance.
Excellent to serve at the end of the meal or as a meditation wine, this flavored wine is ideal in combination with chocolate.
