Barolo DOCG 2014 Azelia
Description
This Barolo di Azelia is located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in the province of Cuneo.
It is obtained from pure Nebbiolo grapes, which ferment with indigenous yeasts in vertical steel tanks for 4-5 weeks. The wine ages for 24 months in large barrels before being bottled.
Bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose expresses fruity hints of cherry and black currant, accompanied by elegant notes of licorice. On the palate it proves powerful and full-bodied, rightly tannic and fruity.
It goes well with first and second courses of meat, while not disdaining game and aged cheeses.
