Description

Elvio Cogno's Barolo Bricco Pernice comes from vineyards located in the Ravera terroir, in the municipality of Novello.

It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested by hand during the month of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 30 days. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 30 months, and for further 18 months in bottle.

The Bricco Pernice is characterized by a ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of violet, enriched with pleasant hints of red fruits and delicate spicy notes. On the palate it is harmonious, elegant and structured, with incisive and pleasantly sweet tannins.

Perfect to accompany roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with stews and aged cheeses.
