Barolo DOCG Bussia Gold Label 2009 Sant'Agata
Description
The Barolo Bussia Gold Label was born in vineyards located in the Bussia crù, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the extraordinary Piedmontese wine panorama. Cantine Sant'Agata wines are the perfect expression of the native vines of Piedmont.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested only by hand during the month of October. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C for about 20-25 days. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for at least 24 months and for a further 6 months in bottle.
It is characterized by an intense garnet red color. The nose opens with fresh balsamic aromas, enriched by pleasant hints of rose and delicate spicy nuances of licorice. On the palate it is pleasantly balanced, full-bodied and enveloping. The wine has a lively character and a broad aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany game, red meats and stewed meats, it is ideal in combination with truffles, risotto and aged cheeses.
