Description
The Barolo Coste di Rose by G.D. Vajra comes from a unique cru located in the Municipality of Barolo, characterized by sandy dunes that give it finesse and distinctive aromas. It is a wine that combines tradition and refinement, fully expressing the character of Nebbiolo. The Vajra family estate is cared for with great passion, without the use of chemicals, and with an artisanal approach.
The vinification takes place in conical vats with a long maceration of 54 days under submerged cap. After malolactic fermentation in steel, the wine ages for 26 months in large Slavonian oak barrels before bottling.
It presents an intense color. On the nose, rose petals, dried flowers, candied cherry, mint, and spicy hints emerge. On the palate, it offers chiseled tannins, delicate sapidity, and a long finish that recalls iodized notes and cherry pie.
Perfect with braised meat dishes, game or strong-flavored aged cheeses.
