Description
Barolo Le Vigne by Luciano Sandrone is a version of Barolo that represents the oldest custom of the Langhe, when the habit of vinifying the individual crus separately had not yet spread.
The wine comes from an assembly of wines made with grapes from four vineyards of the appellation: Baudana in Serralunga d'Alba, Villero in Castiglione Falletto, Vignane in Barolo and Merli in Novello, all characterized by different soils and microclimates. The vinifications take place separately in steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for about a month. The best batches are aged for a period of 24 months in oak barrels, 25% new.
The final result is a particularly harmonious and elegant Barolo, characterized by a garnet color and delicate spicy notes, aromas of berries, licorice root and balsamic hints. The sip is soft and complex, with a savory and fresh finish.
To be combined with roast beef or stewed stew.
