Description

Historical producer of Serralunga d'Alba, Cappellano manages a small estate of a few hectares and produces a limited number of bottles, always highly sought after by connoisseurs and the most attentive enthusiasts. Its wines are an expression of the ancient traditions of the Langhe and have kept a classic face.

The grapes come from an old vineyard located in the famous cru Gabutti di Serralunga d'Alba, at about 400 meters above sea level. The bunches are rigorously selected and sent for vinification with maceration on the skins. The wine ages for a long time in large oak barrels and completes the refinement in the bottle.

In the glass it is bright garnet red and gives an elegant and austere bouquet, with aromas of dried flowers, licorice root, medicinal herbs, small red berries and balsamic nuances. Structured and complex, it has a sip with rich aromas, dense and evolved tannins. The finish is fresh and very persistent.

To combine with game, roasts and stewed meats.
