Description

Barolo Scarrone di Bava originates from the vineyards of the homonymous cru, located in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the DOCG Barolo.

Result of only Nebbiolo grapes, which in this area benefit from a wonderful exposure to the sun and can reach a high degree of ripeness. The fermentation is carried out, with long maceration on the skins, in wooden vats specially built from oaks from the Fontainebleau forests. After malolactic fermentation and transfer of one third of the mass to barrique, ageing continues for a long time for over 28 months.

It presents itself to the sight of a bright garnet color. The perfume hinges on tobacco, enriched with notes of rose and violet. On the palate it is full and balanced, with well-smoothed and characteristic tannins of this Barolo cru.

Excellent with game and red meats, it is indicated in the company of aged cheeses.
