Barolo RIserva DOCG Le Rocche del Falletto 2016 Bruno Giacosa
Description
The Barolo Riserva Le Rocche del Falletto by Bruno Giacosa is one of the most loved labels by aficionados of the great Barolo. The Giacosa family has been involved in viticulture in the Langhe since the beginning of the 1900s and in the 1980s bought the Vigna Le Rocche in the Falletto cru, within the Serralunga d'Alba area.
The vineyards are cultivated at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, with a sunny exposure facing south and south-west. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, with a period of maceration on the skins of about a month and the wine ages for at least 36 months in large oak barrels.
Intense and austere, it has a garnet color and a bouquet characterized by floral nuances, aromas of small red fruits, hints of undergrowth and spices. Powerful and complex, it has a long and harmonious sip, with a very persistent finish.
To be paired with stewed red meats and stewed beef.
