Description
The Beaujolais Fleurie of Château de La Chaize was born in the 108 m long cellar, one of the largest wineries in the world, dating back to the 18th century.
The vinification is parcel, i.e. each parcel of vineyard is vinified separately, with 50% of grapes left whole and 50% of grapes de-stemmed. Maceration on the skins lasts 10 days, with 2 pumpings per day and 3 delestages, followed by malolactic fermentation, all in steel vats.
The wine shows a lively ruby red with purple hues. The nose reveals intense aromas of dried flowers and ripe red fruits, with spicy notes. The sip is fluid and enveloping, with delicate tannins.
Ideal in combination with tasty salads, white meats, boiled meats.
