Bizkaiko Txakolina DO Marko 2019 Oxer Wines
Description
The Marko takes its name from the village where the Oxer family keeps their vineyards in the Municipality of Kortezubi located within the Basque region.
The proximity to the coast reveals the presence of a maritime climate with strong Atlantic winds that affect the vineyards grown on clayey and calcareous soils. After harvesting, the spontaneous fermentation is carried out in steel without the addition of yeasts. Prolonged contact with the fine lees for at least 4 months is ensured by repeated bâtonnages which give the wine body and softness.
Intense straw yellow in color, it expresses hints of white flowers and fruits such as green apple, pear and orange. Creaminess and intensity on the palate accompany mineral notes lightened by contact with the mild ones for a finish of medium length and great elegance in the sip.
Ideal with cheese and white meat dishes, it goes well with grilled vegetables and Quiche Lorraine.
