Description
The Veuve Auguste Tailhan Blanc de Blancs Brut is a French sparkling wine produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, a result of a long winemaking tradition that dates back to 1857, the year Auguste Tailhan founded his company specialized in the production of Blanquette de Limoux. The maison survived the First World War thanks to the determination of Auguste's widow, who preserved its spirit and original quality.
This Blanc de Blancs is obtained from a blend of Colombard and Ugni Blanc, with natural fermentation in steel tanks. The aging lasts for 3 months and the sugar dosage falls within the Brut category, giving the wine a balance between freshness and roundness.
On the nose, it offers an inviting bouquet of fresh white fruits, enriched by a fine and persistent mousse. On the palate, elegant notes of crisp apple and ripe pear emerge, accompanied by a sensation of freshness and harmony that make for an easily enjoyable drink.
Ideal to serve as an aperitif or paired with shellfish and seafood salads.
