Description
This Bolgheri Rosso is a red wine of character produced by the Grattamacco winery, the result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. The grapes come from vineyards located at an altitude of between 100 and 200 meters above sea level, on varied soils that combine quartz sandstone, white clay, marly calcareous flysch and red sand.
Viticulture follows environmentally friendly principles, allowing a balanced yield of the vines. After careful selection, the grapes are fermented in steel vats. Part of the wine remains in the same vats for aging, while another part continues for 8 months in barriques before bottling.
Characterized by an intense ruby red color, on the palate it stands out for its lively and harmonious structure, accompanied by a pleasant freshness and a decisive character. On the nose it opens with evident hints of morello cherry and plum, enriched by pleasant mineral notes.
Perfect when paired with grilled or roasted red meats, it also enhances game-based dishes or mature cheeses.
