Description
The Bolgheri Rosso Ferrante of Geografico is born along the Tuscan coast, in one of the most suitable areas for the production of elegant and structured red wines. The vineyards are situated on clayey soils enriched with sand and silt, with the presence of small fragments that promote drainage and the aromatic complexity of the grapes. The wine comes from a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the influence of the Mediterranean climate and the proximity of the sea contributing to a balanced ripening of the grapes, ensuring concentration and freshness.
The vinification is followed by an aging period of 12 months in French oak barriques, plus an additional 4 months of rest in the bottle. This process allows achieving a perfect balance between the fruity and spicy components, giving the wine depth and harmony.
On the nose, intense notes of black cherry and coffee can be perceived, enriched by herbal nuances and an elegant presence of vanilla oak. The taste is deep and rich, with a heart of juicy fruit, perfectly integrated tannins, and a long and complex finish.
It pairs excellently with red meat or game dishes.
