Description
This Chardonnay from Michel Bouzereau & Fils originates from a selection of plots situated in the lieux-dits Magny and Sous la Velle in Meursault, and Champs Perriers in Puligny-Montrachet, at the heart of the Côte d’Or in Burgundy. The vineyards cover a total area of 2.9 hectares, are planted on clay-limestone soils, and benefit from an exceptional exposure with a prestigious terroir, with vines planted between 1957 and 1995.
The vinification follows a traditional Burgundian style, with fermentation and aging in oak barrels (fûts) for one year, 15% of which are new, followed by a further two months of aging in vats. This process imparts elegance, complexity, and structure to the wine, respecting the authentic expression of the territory.
In appearance, it has a bright straw yellow color. The nose reveals delicate aromas of white flowers, yellow-fleshed fruit, and light notes of vanilla and toast. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral, and well-balanced, with good persistence and a fine structure, making it a typically Burgundian Chardonnay, elegant and highly drinkable.
Perfect with dishes based on fish, shellfish, or poultry in light preparations.
