Bramaterra DOC 2014 Tenute Sella
Description
Bramaterra is a wine with a strong personality and deep historical roots, which is mentioned for the first time in a document dating back to 1447. It is produced from a selection of grapes harvested in the municipalities of Villa del Bosco and Brusnengo, in Upper Piedmont .
It consists of Nebbiolo grapes accompanied by Croatina and Vespolina, whose harvest is expected from mid-September to mid-October. The vinification takes place with fermentation in stainless steel and maceration for 30 days for Nebbiolo and Vespolina, 16 days for Croatina. Once the malolactic fermentation has been carried out in wood, the wine ages for 28 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
In the glass it has a bright ruby red color. The aromatic range is intense and fine, with notes of raspberry, blackberry and spices, with a beautiful mineral vein to complete the picture. In the mouth it is fresh, savory and tannic, pleasantly complex and persistent.
It is excellent to taste with cured meats and aged cheeses, but it can also be appreciated in combination with red meat main courses.
