Description
The Beaujolais Brouilly of Château de La Chaize was born in the 108 m long cellar, one of the largest wineries in the world dating back to the 18th century.
The vinification is parcel, i.e. each parcel of vineyard is vinified separately, with 50% of grapes left whole and 50% of grapes de-stemmed. Maceration on the skins lasts 10 days, with 2 pumpings per day and 3 delestages, followed by malolactic fermentation, all in steel vats.
The wine shows a lively ruby red with purple hues. The nose reveals intense aromas of red fruits, ripe strawberries and delicate floral notes, with discreet spicy notes. The sip emphasizes the freshness and crunchiness of Gamay, with a perfect balance between ripe red fruits (cherry, strawberry) and a nice freshness.
Ideal in combination with tasty salads, white meats, boiled meats.
