Description
Gianni Brunelli's name has always been linked to the Le Chiuse di Sotto estate. A historic property located north of the Montalcino hill, in a particularly cool and breezy area. The original nucleus of the farm was subsequently enlarged with other vineyards located in Podernovone, in the south-east area.
The wine comes from an assembly of Sangiovese grapes from different vineyards, in order to always obtain the right expressive harmony. At the end of the fermentation, which takes place with a maceration of a couple of weeks, the wine rests for a period of 24-30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
Of a beautiful ruby red color, it offers aromas of ripe cherries, small red berried fruits, floral nuances, hints of undergrowth, leather and blond tobacco. The sip is elegant and savory, with a fine tannic texture, well integrated with the body of the wine.
To be combined with pasta with game sauce, grilled meat, sliced beef.
