Description
The Póker de Tempranillos from Encomienda de Cervera is a red wine obtained from a unique combination of four clones of the Tempranillo variety: Tempranillo, Tinta del País, Tinta de Toro, and Cencibel. The grapes come from the Volcanic Massif of Campo de Calatrava, in Almagro, where the vineyards grow on clay, limestone, and stony soils of volcanic origin, near the Jabalón River.
The wine matures for ten months in French oak barrels, a refinement that enriches its complexity and enhances its structure. The winemaking approach aims to emphasize the adaptation of the different clones to the estate's microclimate, obtaining a wine of great expressiveness and aromatic richness.
Visually, it presents an intense garnet red color, almost impenetrable. The bouquet is dominated by aromas of ripe red fruit, accompanied by notes of caramel and toasted hints deriving from the wood. On the palate, it is powerful, structured, rich in nuances, and endowed with great volume.
Ideal with traditional dishes, aged cheeses, elaborate vegetables, and flavorful meats.
