Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG Prunotto

This wooden box contains two precious wines of the Langhe, Barolo and Barbaresco, both produced exclusively from the main red grape of Piedmont, Nebbiolo. Both wines are born in the Prunotto Estate of Marchesi Antinori, not far from Alba.

Barolo Prunotto is aged in French oak barrels and, to a lesser extent, in second passage barriques for 24 months. This Barolo has a garnet red color, while the nose is broad and complex, with hints of violet and undergrowth nuances. The taste is full and velvety, very well balanced. Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, this wine is ideal in combination with courses based on red meats, roasts and game.

Barbaresco Prunotto is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and, a small part, in second passage barriques. It is characterized by a garnet red color of good intensity. The bouquet is complex, with evident hints of red fruits and pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is full and velvety, with a long and persistent aftertaste. Due to its characteristics of structure and body, this wine is perfect to accompany savory first courses based on meat sauce, red meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
